The budding engineers initiate their endeavor of engineering with the FIRST YEAR ENGINEERING department, so it has a huge responsibility of molding them into a better, responsible person through best possible learning facilities, well experienced faculty to inculcate all kinds of concepts, modern laboratories to satisfy the curiosity of scientific minds, latest hardware & software tools, ICT enabled classrooms and conducive environment as it is said that “’Well begun is half done!!”

We, at First year engineering department are keen to provide all the necessary academic knowledge as per the DBATU structure. It has a mixed version of all applied sciences like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and fundamental subjects of major engineering disciplines such as Basic Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Engineering Graphics, Engineering Mechanics, Fundamental Programming Language. To impart each and every detailed knowledge, the institute has taken care to recruit 07 PhD holders and faculty members with Masters to nurture the inquisitive minds.

The up to date Language Laboratory assists students in improving their linguistic skills. Activities like individual and group presentations, situational conversations and software based assistance to enhance soft skills.

Special care is taken for first year students by providing faculty mentors to help them to adapt to engineering subjects. In first weeks after the admission the students are introduced to the industry by field visits, tour of the campus and expert lectures of eminent personalities from academia, industry & social background are arranged. With the responsibility of pinned faith of parents we provide regular updates to the parents’ regarding development of each student. Not only that but remedial classes of the suggested subjects are also conducted to help the students to prepare for supplementary exams in case required.
