SSVPS Engineering Students Make Their Mark at National Entrepreneurship Challenge 2025 Finals at IIT Bombay

In a remarkable achievement, students of S.S.V.P.’s B.S. Deore College of Engineering, Dhule, showcased their entrepreneurial spirit and innovation skills at the prestigious National Entrepreneurship Challenge (NEC) 2025 Finals held at IIT Bombay from December 10 to 13, 2025.

The National Entrepreneurship Challenge, organized by the E-Cell of IIT Bombay, is one of India’s largest and most dynamic platforms dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurship among college students. Spanning over six months, the competition engages participating institutions in a series of structured tasks, workshops, and evaluations aimed at building and strengthening Entrepreneurship Cells (E-Cells) across campuses nationwide.

Representing the institution under the guidance of Faculty Advisor Prof. Shivnath Ramsamujh Singh, a team of 19 enthusiastic students from Computer, Mechanical, Civil, and Electronics & Telecommunication disciplines actively participated in the challenge. Their journey through NEC involved rigorous learning, strategic planning, and hands-on execution of entrepreneurial activities designed to simulate real-world startup ecosystems.

The finals at IIT Bombay brought together some of the brightest young minds from across the country, providing a vibrant platform for collaboration, competition, and knowledge exchange. Students had the opportunity to interact with industry experts, successful entrepreneurs, and mentors, gaining valuable insights into startup development, business strategies, and innovation management.

Throughout the competition, participants were exposed to critical aspects of entrepreneurship such as idea generation, business model development, marketing strategies, team management, and pitching techniques. The experience significantly enhanced their confidence and equipped them with practical skills essential for building and sustaining ventures.

The participation also had a transformative impact on the college’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. It strengthened the functioning of the institution’s E-Cell by increasing its outreach, improving the quality of its programs, and encouraging greater student involvement. The initiative played a crucial role in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students, promoting creativity, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to take calculated risks.

Moreover, the exposure gained through NEC has prepared students to take on future challenges in innovation, incubation, and startup funding platforms at both national and international levels. It has also contributed to creating a pipeline of skilled and motivated individuals ready to drive economic growth through entrepreneurship.

The college management and faculty members congratulated the team for their commendable participation and dedication. Their achievement reflects the institution’s commitment to holistic education and its continuous efforts to empower students with the skills required to excel in today’s competitive and innovation-driven world.

The National Entrepreneurship Challenge continues to inspire young minds across India, reinforcing the idea that with the right guidance, resources, and determination, entrepreneurship can be a viable and rewarding career path for the youth.
