First-Year Student Presents Research Paper at International Conference

The Department of Applied Sciences and the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering at S.S.V.P.S’s B.S. Deore College of Engineering proudly congratulate Ms. Roshani Patil, a First-Year Electronics and Computer Engineering student, on her remarkable academic achievement of presenting a research paper at an international conference.

Ms. Patil presented her research paper titled “Role and Impact of AI Chatbots in Undergraduate Student Learning: Personalised Tutoring, Academic Integrity, Cognitive Dependency, and the Pedagogical Governance of Generative AI” at the prestigious International Conference on Technology, Health, Environment, and IKS: Multidisciplinary Strategies for Well-Being. The conference was organized jointly by the Hexagon Research Academy and the International Association for Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (IAMRI), bringing together researchers, academicians, and scholars from diverse disciplines across the globe.

The research paper explored the growing influence of artificial intelligence chatbots in higher education, examining their role in personalized learning, academic support, ethical concerns related to academic integrity, cognitive dependency among learners, and the evolving governance of generative AI in educational environments. The study highlighted both the opportunities and challenges posed by AI-driven learning tools in modern education.

Ms. Patil carried out this scholarly work under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Ravikumar Patil, whose mentorship played a significant role in shaping the research. The paper has also been selected for publication with the IAMURE International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research, further enhancing its academic significance.
