Blood Donation and Free Health Check-up Camp

On the auspicious occasion of the birthday of our Hon’ble Chairman Shri. Subhashji Deore, Chairman of Shivaji Vidya Prasarak Sanstha’s SSVPS BSD College of Engineering and Polytechnic, a grand blood donation camp was organized today at the engineering college by the joint efforts of Civil Engineering and Electronics Engineering Departments.

Students, professors, and non-teaching staff enthusiastically participated in the camp. The initiative received an excellent response from everyone and considered a grand success.

The camp was inaugurated by the college Principal Dr. Hitendraji Patil. On this occasion, all department head’s and teaching and non-teaching staff were present.

The blood donation camp was well organized by the Civil Department headed by Dr Jitendra Vyas in collaboration with the famous Navjivan Blood Bank. Dhule. Dr Sunil Chaudhary and Dr Gajanan Chaudhary and team coordinated the successful conduct of the camp on behalf of “Navjivan Blood Bank”.

Along with the blood donation drive, a health check-up camp was also conducted by our Electronics Engineering Department headed by Dr Vinod D Shinde in collaboration with Anjana Heart Care Hospital. At the free health check-up booth; tests such as Blood sugar, platelet count, ECG, urine tests, and blood group testing were carried out.

At this occasion, Principal Dr. Hitendraji Patil appealed to students laying emphasis to the fact that Donation of one’s Blood is the highest order of donation of all. He also urged the students to always be ready to donate blood whenever needed and emphasized the importance of maintaining good health. A significant amount of blood was collected during the camp and a number of college staff got their free health check-up reports.
